Solo Exhibitions

What began as a fun time capsule in 2017 turned into my own version of Alice's rabbit hole, shepherding me to an entirely different universe.

Yena & Paris | 2017 | Conference Space in Seoul, South Korea

My first exhibition; a collection of my memories living for an year in France, from my birthday party in a magic shop to playing with my family and friends at Palais Royal to the playground I'd go to everyday after school, each rendered in their unique ways. There's animal sculptures reinterpreted from the Grande Galerie de l'Évolution, black and white poles made from tissue rolls, a moveable paper ballerina inspired by my ballet classes, Marie Antoinette's dress designed with thrifted jewels in the streets of Paris, a handmade book of Romeo and Juliet.. the list goes on. They together give a unique scent and breath to each of my special memories.

a b cherry | 2022 | Rama Rama, Seoul, South Korea

Returning from Paris to Seoul, I met a felting teacher. She taught me how to see art beyond creative art materials; she encouraged me to apply my knowledge to express.  Art's purpose, as she told me, is not solely to recreate memories in our head and in front of our eyes---it's a vessel to embed meaning and make commentaries on concepts you truly care about. She also helped me find my own "art style," teaching me how it's something that makes your art truly yours. Artistic styles, I've learned, are never fixated or a treasure you find on an island; it's a voice that you develop and grow through consistency, practice, and love. I deviated a little bit :) Anyways, this exhibition reinterprets the pieces I made in "Yena & Paris." For instance, the animals are remade and placed inside a huge cardboard ship to illustrate Noah's Arc. This was when I began to weave in biblical stories using felt, cardboard, and acrylic.

Dream | 2022 | NFT Gallery, Paris, France

This exhibition was truly a miracle in so many different ways. White butterflies, NFTs, black-wallled galleries, a Christmas tree of dreams from across the world...

Dream With | 2023 | 극동방송, Seoul, South Korea

After the NFT gallery in Paris, I had the opportunity to exhibit again at 극동방송, a renowned Christian Korean broadcast center. With the artworks, I was also blessed to be interviewed and broadcast twice to share my story!
