Projects

Where both art and language failed, I found film.

Hemimetabolism

The figure embodies two wings: one pure and untouched, the other ornamented to meet societal norms. This duality unfolds through translucent fabric contrasted with metallic beads, sand-papered steel, and laces.

Born amid the snow, the figure curiously explores nature—until its purity is disrupted upon entering the concrete streets. In seeking belonging, it decorates its wings and builds a persona now heavy and unbalanced. This is symbolic of hemimetabolism, the incomplete stage of metamorphosis. The butterfly’s dreams and future, once boundless, are now corrupted; it can no longer fly.

Submitted to film festivals including Cannes Film Awards, Cannes Indie Shorts Awards, & Portland Film Festival.

An Imaginary Friend

A young girl's imaginary friend, born from an old CD player, disappears when she becomes consumed by social media. The film explores the balance between digital distractions and childhood imagination.
