The Dreamers

The Dreamers is an art program that began not only to teach four children at Sundukwon more about art, but also with the means to inspire. This program’s main goal is to introduce unseen, unconventional mediums of art, teaching children that art extends far beyond the traditional act of drawing with pencils and painting with paint. From crafting houses out of cardboard to painting a tree with our hands, this program seeks to widen the children’s passion for art into boundless explorations of creativity. These children are not only the voices of our future, but also dreamers whose art has the potential to reshape the world.

Project White Cane Day
w/ Artist Im Sang Cheul

임상철 작가님 is a talented artist who continues to create art in spite of his damaged vision and wounded past. I had the privileged opportunity to collaborate with him, visually recreating his special memory through art. We also co-designed products that was sold in a fair anchored around visually impaired people. This experience, as a whole, shed light on the resistance of pain for the pursuit of passion.
